The mid-tier firm accountancy firm is shoring up its offering across the Midlands, with three new hires and 18 promotions in the East and West Midlands offices

This is just the latest in a staffing boom for the firm, which created 68 new jobs ins its Midlands offices in January and in February strengthened its executive team with a number of senior appointments.

The firm has appointed Peter Raybould as director and Simon Moult as business finance manager of PKF’s restructuring Team, and Tom Summers as senior manager of Cooper Parry Corporate Finance.

“It’s great to see that we are continuing to attract the very best talent across all areas of the business, demonstrated by the appointment of Peter, Simon and Tom” said Ade Cheatham, chief executive of PKF Cooper Parry.

Raybould has over 30 years’ experience, including 14 years at Barclays Bank as associate director. He has also held various roles at KPMG, BDO, and Aldermore. Prior to his appointment at PKF he spent almost three years as director at ThreeSixty Commercial Finance.

Moult has more than 25 years’ experience in the industry. Prior to his appointment he was the regional director of asset finance for Ultimate Finance group.

Prior to his appointment, Summers was at RSM where he spent seven years in various roles within M&A and private equity.

Among the promotions within PKF was Ben Rookes who, after joining as a graduate 15 years ago, has been promoted to partner in Cooper Parry Corporate Finance.

Paul Hayes was also promoted to partner of the IT Solutions team. Hayes promotion made way for Steve Brooks, who was promoted to the role of director of the team.

“Staff retention is also important to us and the promotions, as well as being well deserved, are recognition of the loyalty, hard work and commitment all have shown to the firm,” Cheatham added.
