Deloitte Australia buys tech business

The Big Four firm has acquired Strut Digital, an Australian technology and managed services provider

Strut, which specialises in DevOps (development and operations), will have its 25-strong team join Deloitte’s Sydney office.

Strut CEO Zack Levy will be joining the firm as a partner. Strut’s other directors, David Cheal and Tim Bradey, will join as principals.

Deloitte did not disclose the terms of the deal.

Strut Digital has worked on projects with some of Australia’s biggest brands including Westpac, Qantas, and Bauer Media Group.

“We are experiencing significant demand from public and private sector clients for our technology expertise. Our clients are all talking about how to make the best use of the cloud, reflecting their need to rapidly adapt to unforeseen shifts in their marketplace, while improving how they service their customers in new and innovative ways,” said Deloitte Australia CEO, Cindy Hook.

The move is the latest in a series of tech tie-ups and acquisitions by the Big Four firm in recent years, including Sage, Amazon Web Services, Apple and Qubit.
