BDO tax man joins UHY

UHY Hacker Young has poached BDO’s head of tax in the East Midlands Simon Browning

He has been lured across to the firm’s Nottingham office, he says, by the feel UHY offers “of a traditional and trustworthy firm” with “all the benefits of a national forward-thinking organisation providing innovative solutions for its clients”.

“The team here is really strong,” he adds, “but I am sure I can bring something extra to the firm and help us to cement our position as one of the city’s leading accountancy practices.”

Last year, Browning was included in Tax Journal’s “40 under 40” tax professionals in the UK.

He specialises in advising family and owner managed businesses, particularly in transactions and shareholder planning, and has a strong profile in the technology, media and telecommunications and bioscience sectors.
