PwC appoints new financial services risk assurance partner

Big Four firm PwC has announced the appointment of a new financial services risk assurance partner

Steve Frizzell – who has spent the last decade of his 24-year career at PwC as a partner in the firm’s Melbourne office – will now lead PwC’s UK financial services risk assurance internal audit services team.

Frizzell has previously worked extensively with major Australian banks, performing internal audit services, risk and compliance function transformations, and leading strategic internal audit co-source agreements.

Sam Samaratunga, PwC’s financial services operational resilience leader in the UK, welcomed the news.

“I am delighted that Steve is joining our team,” Samaratunga said.

“Steve’s expertise will benefit our clients across a whole range of internal audit issues which are currently affecting the banking and capital markets industry.”
