BDO replaces KPMG as top AIM auditor

The mid-tier firm now holds top spot with 149 clients for the second quarter of 2017

BDO had shared number one position with KPMG in Q1 but the Big Four firm has slipped to second with a total of 146 clients, according to the latest Advisers Ranking guide.

Grant Thornton remained in third place despite losing six clients (120) and PwC also lost six clients (96) but held on to the fourth spot.

Deloitte retained fifth position with 65 clients, after a gain of six, while RSM added four to retain sixth position with 57 clients.

Moore Stephens moved up to equal 9th position with 24 clients, after a gain of one.

In the financial sector market, KPMG still leads the way numerically, though EY, the top in terms of the value of its constituents, saw that value increase by £495m.

RSM has taken outright fifth, while BDO further cemented its silver medal status through a net gain of two.
