Wilkins Kennedy announces another merger

The top 20 accountancy firm has continued its growth push with the acquisition of M R Salvage

The addition of the small business accountancy firm will see Wilkins Kennedy increase to 700 staff and partners with an expected turnover in excess of £55m – the vast majority of which was already part of it.

Wilkins Kennedy’s turnover has grown from £28m to over £50m (up 78.6%) since 2011
. It has offices throughout the south of England – in London, Surrey, Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Hampshire.

The firm appointed a new senior partner earlier this month. William Payne, who has been a partner since 2003 replaced David Fenn, who had held the post for the past seven years.

Last year the firm suffered a setback when the Court of Appeal denied permission to appeal its £9.14m damages payment in its case against hotel resort and property developing firm Harlequin.

It is a member of Allinial Global, an affiliation of legally independent accounting firms.
