The European regional board will be led by co-managing partners Andrea De Vecchi and Paolo Mondia, and comprised by 14 tax and legal partners from Andersen Global member firms and five from collaborating firms.
The new board, which was announced today in its first meeting in Portugal, is part of Andersen’s expansion plan through Europe over the past four years.
Andersen Global, which was founded in 2013 by US firm Andersen Tax, has been growing rapidly through a combination of mergers with local firms, collaboration agreements, and recruiting complete teams of professionals plus partners.
The association now has presence in the UK, Germany, Portugal, France, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Turkey, Ireland, Austria, Poland, Greece, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Slovakia, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
In June this year, it signed a collaboration agreement with Milestone International Tax Partners, a three-partner London firm providing international tax services to businesses, private clients, investment funds and property developers.
It comes after a collaboration agreement with London-based tax practice Mark Davies & Associates in April and another one with Reading-based VAT practice rbcVAT at the beginning of March.
Andrea De Vecchi said, “We are proud of Andersen Global’s growth in Europe and have experienced an increase in clients demanding cross border services. Now is the time to implement a common governing group that will bring all the members in our region together in a coordinated way.”
Vecchi said the organisation increased its number of locations from 57 to 112 in just over a year.
