“The ArchOver Team took the time and the effort to understand us properly and it was something we really appreciated. Most importantly, this approach gave us as much confidence about them as they were seeking from us, and this has created a strong bond for more commercial interaction. We have subsequently recommended them to other businesses looking for pro-active lending, and will continue to do so”. – One of ArchOver’s satisfied Borrowers
ArchOver connects businesses looking for capital with a private network of investors looking for favourable returns. After being on-boarded onto the ArchOver platform, our Borrowers are able to access funding from a range of HNWs, corporate and institutional Lenders who can help take your business to the next level without you having to sacrifice any control over your company.
Over the past five years, ArchOver has helped lend over £100 million to British businesses, and we haven’t accomplished this by sitting idle. We are always looking for fresh and innovative ways in which we can support SMEs in achieving their full potential, and this has led to the creation of a new suite of services we call our “Advances”.
What can our Advances do for you?
ArchOver can facilitate short-term lending against up to 70% of a business’ Grant, Creative Tax Relief, or R&D Tax Claims. This opportunity is open to any business retaining professional advisors who can show us proof of a qualifying claim, and with a successful history of making previous claims.
- Absolutely no personal guarantees
- No equity dilution
- Credit decisions reached within 48 hours of completing the application
- Pre and post revenue businesses accepted
- Interest rates from 1% per month
Advances are available from the seventh month of your financial year to approximately three months before the R&D claim will be paid, and have a minimum threshold of £50,000.
What have our Advances have Achieved?
In the 18 months since the service was introduced, ArchOver has helped fund over £4.4 million in advances. Of this amount, £3.5 million has been funded throughout 2019, £1.7 million of which was funded in the last three months alone.
There has been significant appetite from our Lenders, with most of our Advances being funded in under an hour while our current record currently sits at 15 minutes. Based on current estimates, this appetite is set to increase throughout the rest of the year, going into 2020.
Who Uses this Service?
While our Advance services are open to all types of businesses provided they have a qualifying claim, ArchOver’s focus on R&D has led to us seeing a lot of interest from businesses working in science and technology.
In 2018, ArchOver facilitated its first Advance to a cyber-security business wanting to raise £400,000 against their expected R&D tax claim. The cash advance was helpful in accelerating the company’s growth and extending their reach into the market, and in fact their response was so positive to the service, that they have returned twice since.
Other companies we have provided funding for have been involved in a wide range of initiatives, including camera technology, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, engineering, CRM and online tutoring.
Over the next few years we hope to see an even greater variety of businesses benefiting from our Advances.
ArchOver was founded in 2014 with the aim of providing working capital to British SMEs who were struggling to get funding from the major banks. The company’s initial offering focused purely on secured lending against a business’ accounts receivable, however this was expanded to also include lending against contracted recurring revenue, and many variations in between. ArchOver’s Advance services embody the company’s first unsecured offerings, enabling the business to reach a larger number of interesting SMEs with great potential.
