The #economia50 2013 unveiled

We asked, and once again you've responded with enthusiasm. Here are the top 50 most influential sources of finance news and information in social media, voted for by economia readers and ordered by Leaderboarded and Klout

As we unveiled our Global Finance 50 for the second year running in last month's magazine, we asked our readers for their go-to sources for financial news in the world of social media.

Using the hashtag #economia50, readers tweeted us their nominations, we counted the votes and ranked them according to influence in association with Klout, to reveal the 2013 #economia50.

Topping the list at the time of launch this year is @FelixSalmon, the finance blogger. Once again, @RichardJMurphy is the first chartered accountant on the list. Last year was headed by the likes of @TheEconomist and @MBarnierEU, who this year failed to get even a nomination, but once again the list is dominated by journalists and editors with ITV's Laura Kuenssberg and Sky's Ed Conway in 7th and 8th place respectively.

Never afraid to express an opinion, business veterans James Caan and Lord Sugar both take top-five places, with the CEO of Newton Investment and board diversity campaigner Helena Morrissey coming in at number 25.

If you would like to keep up to date with all those nominated, we have compiled a list that can be viewed here.

The top 50 will keep updating as the twitter scores move - find the full ranked list of finance influencers at Leadboarded. Here are the top 50 for 2013, as voted for by you...
