KPMG now has 28 FTSE 100 clients and PwC 27, while Deloitte is in third with 26 after losing the Sky contract.
KPMG’s extra FTSE 100 client was energy services company John Wood Group PLC that was promoted to the FTSE 100 in October 2018.
The representative value of all of FTSE 100 auditors contracted except for BDO, which has moved up into fifth place on that basis.
BDO remains the number one AIM auditor with 149 clients, while EY added the most new clients overall - from 225 to 235.
Last month Lloyds Banking group announced it plans to appoint Deloitte as its new auditors in 2021, ending a 153-year relationship with PwC.
