S&W international forensic tie-up

Smith & Williamson has joined up with fellow Nexia International member firm, Nexia TS, to launch a joint forensic and litigation support service covering Singapore, China and the other part of the South East Asia region

The firm says that the move is in response to the growth in overseas clients looking for forensic accounting services around the world.

“We provide forensic accounting and forensic technology services on a wide range of contentious matters including commercial dispute resolution, fraud and bribery investigations as well as insurance claims,” said Doug Hall, S&W’s head of forensic services.

“In recent years, we have been appointed by a growing number of parties from outside of the UK and this joint initiative with Nexia TS will further build our global resources to deliver these services.”

Nexia TS, which is based in Singapore, was founded in 1993 and is now an established mid-tier accounting firm with a strong forensic practice.

Co-founder Henry Tan said, “We are very happy to have Smith & Williamson on board as our specialist partner in the forensic & litigation support services practice.

“With the excellent support from an international, diverse team of veterans and as a member firm of Nexia International, we also have access to local experts in over 100 countries – I am confident of our enhanced service delivery.”

The partnership, he added, strengthens the expertise Nexia TS offers by extending its coverage beyond forensic investigation and forensic technology, into testimony by seasoned experts in domestic and international arbitration.
