Grant Thornton tops graduate poll

Grant Thornton has topped a poll of the best graduate employers for 2013

The survey, compiled using 6,000 student reviews, was headed by Grant Thornton, which averaged a score of 8.66 out of 10. Microsoft was voted second, with BDO, PwC and EY making up the top five. Fellow Big Four member Deloitte was ranked just outside the top ten.

The interns were surveyed on company values, experience, skills, training, culture, and the level of responsibility they were given. It also included questions on area and cost of living.

Grant Thornton employs over 300 graduates, placements and students across 20 of its 27 UK offices each year.

In a separate survey last week, EY was voted the world’s second most attractive business employer. KPMG dropped six places to eighth place in the survey, with fellow Big Four members PwC and Deloitte also in the top ten in fourth and seventh place respectively.
